Mariam Najmi from Roshan presented a collection made up of western and eastern pretwear, which had some great pieces. However, her plus points are clearly in desigining formal wear. Her mehndi outfits with a yellow and green palette were a homage to all things Pakistani – the video montage of her childhood memories was an interesting touch. The highlights for us were the patchwork on the lenhnga’s with the bright and contrasting colour choices.
The collection rocked the ramp of Pakistan Fashion Week London 2012. This grand and lavish fashion week was held at Kensington Great Hall “London” from 25th to 27th May 2012. All the guests, European audience and especially media cameras who were covering the grand fashion show of Pakistan, were really surprised when beautiful models walked on the ramp while wearing the Roshan by Mariam Najmi Collection at Pakistan Fashion Week London 2012.
