Kareena looking stunning. Infact, when Kareena posed with her replica, it was pretty hard to identify the ‘real’ Kareena Kapoor. Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor is the latest Bollywood celebrity to be waxed at Madame Tussauds in Blackpool, Britain. “It is an honour and a privilege for me to have my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Blackpool and even more so to launch a global Bollywood exhibition. This is a moment of pride for the Indian cinema,” Kareena Kapoor said in a statement. It took four months to create the wax statue, which cost 150,000 pounds.”
The figure looks incredible and is so life-like. I had to do a double take when I saw myself - they have really done a superb job at capturing my essence,”Kareena added. The unveiling of Kareena Kapoor’s wax figure also flagged off a global exhibition, where the statues of Bollywood stars will be taken to six major cities around the world to be exhibited, before they are brought back to Blackpool in January next year.
The unveiling distinct the launch of the attraction’s all new Bollywood exhibition, which will be at Madame Tussauds until January 2012.
The look of her wax statue, which was extensively discussed in the industry and amongst fans, is from the popular song ‘Mauja Mauja’ from Jab We Met, a film that tainted Kapoor’s career.
The actress arrived on the red carpet with her mother Babita Kapoor, a previous Bollywood actress to unveil her statue.
